My name is Niels Merkelbach. I have been working as an ANIOS in orthopaedics for several years and am passionate about further developing my knowledge and expertise in the field. Alongside my clinical work, I am committed to contributing to the development of orthopaedic care beyond my daily practice.
As ANIOS, I came into contact with Stichting St John of God Hospital Ghana and was given the opportunity to visit Ghana and witness the foundation’s work firsthand. This experience allowed me to gain a better understanding of its mission and the importance of improving access to orthopaedic care.
Through my involvement with Stichting St John of God Hospital Ghana, I hope to contribute to improving access to high-quality orthopaedic care in Ghana. I believe that knowledge sharing, collaboration, and strengthening local expertise are essential to achieving sustainable improvements in patient care.
By working together with local healthcare professionals, I hope to contribute to a future in which more patients have access to the orthopaedic care they need.
